About the event
Building strong literacy foundations begins well before a child reads their first word. This session focuses on the essential pre-reading skills-print awareness, phonological awareness, and oral language-that set the stage for future reading success. Participants will explore developmentally appropriate activities and environmental print strategies for young learners. You'll leave with a bank of playful, evidence-based activities to build early literacy skills in your classroom.
This workshop is being run in partnership with SUNY Potsdam and is CTLE-approved. It is being offered by the SLVTLC free of charge to the participant/district.
