About the event

This is part one of two: Supporting Scientific Modeling and Argumentation

This webinar will provide in-depth explanation, resources and activities to support the implementation of two key science practices that are often challenging for teachers and instructional leaders to support: scientific modeling and argumentation. Participants will learn about what these practices are, how they can be supported in the classroom, and what we can learn about student thinking by engaging students in these practices. The webinar will include observing classroom video, analyzing student work, considering instructional strategies, and planning for our own implementation or supervision of these practices.

 Session 1: Supporting Scientific Modeling
